The OEM cartridge oil filter was changed every 2 to 3 years; about every 25,000 miles. The Motor Oil was changed once at 50,000 miles in April 1990. The ATF was changed once at 100,000 miles. The car was sold with SynLube™ products still installed in November 2000 and was still in excellent running condition @ 183,272 miles.

Traded-In on 11/14/2005 Oil Consumption: estimated @ 9,000 miles per Quart of ADD OIL The owner has been driving the car daily from Pharump to Las Vegas, NV about 120 miles round trip. The odometer broke and was replaced twice in the 15 years of ownership and was not functional when the car was traded-in (for $300) on purchase of New HONDA 2002 Insight Hybrid. He estimates the car had over 400,000 miles on it. But since YUGO odometers do not register over 99,999 and roll over to "zero" the odometer has been showing only 52,117 miles when the car was traded-in. The SynLube™ GTM Motor Oil was replaced at 50,000 miles with SynLube™ Lube-4-Life® Motor Oil , oil filters were changed annually about every 30,000 miles at which time one quart of INITIAL FILL was installed. The oil was not changed for 13 years !!! And estimated 350,000 miles of daily use!
